You Paid For The Training And Now They Are Leaving

We have all seen it. You pay to have an employee trained and in the effort you create a more valuable employee. Not just for you but for every company in your industry. What can you do? A good method to protect yourself from this problem is to create an agreement between your company and the employee that requires a pay back for any training for a specified period of time prior to an employee willingly leaving your company. Time frames of one to two years are the norm for this type of agreement. This is a good way to help protect your company from the "training for somebody else" problem.
