Changes in Exam PW0-200 - Spring 2007

Wireless LAN Security

These are the topic areas that will change between exam PW0-200 2006r1 (Original release January, 2006) and the new version (to be released on April 16, 2007).

	This was a MINOR UPGRADE to the exam and a new study guide WILL NOT be published for these minor changes. You will need to know the new standard IEEE/Wi-Fi Alliance terminology listed here.

The exam is being updated to reflect the industry standard naming conventions that are now being used by the IEEE.

• The CWSP exam objectives have been updated to reflect these changes.
• The CWSP practice tests will be updated to reflect these changes.
• The CWSP study guide is NOT changing. The current version will STILL prepare you for the updated exam, but you must be familiar with the new terminology
• The CWSP course is being updated to reflect these changes

Terminology Changes

Acronyms and terminology were changed to align the PW0-200 exam and exam objectives with the IEEE standard (as amended) and the terminology standardized by the Wi-Fi Alliance. All of the acronyms and terminology that was changed on the exam is documented in the new CWNP Exam Terms document which is freely available at cwnp.com.

Updated Graphics and Screenshots

Graphics were updated to reflect the latest versions of software in use

Topic Changes

New topics were added to the exam and exam objectives to align them with newly introduced topics in the industry. Additionally, some existing topics were extended to cover the topic in more detail. These topics include:

• Wi-Fi Protected Setup
• wVoIP security
